Alekstra

Cookie policy

Last updated: 20 July 2026

We use a small set of first-party cookies plus one cookieless analytics service. What happens when you arrive depends on where you are: in the EU/EEA and UK we set nothing until you accept; in the US the tracking cookies are set on arrival and you can opt out at any time. Either way you can change your choice from “Cookie preferences” in the footer — see “Managing your choice” below.

How tracking works here

We use your approximate location (from your IP address) to apply the right rule:

  • EU / EEA / UK — opt-in. No tracking cookie is set and no usage data is sent until you choose “Accept”. Declining leaves only the essential cookies.
  • United States — opt-out. Alekstra Inc is the business responsible for US visitors, and US state privacy law applies rather than the GDPR; those laws do not work through lawful bases, so none is cited here. The tracking cookies above are set when you arrive, you can opt out at any time and we delete them. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, we treat that as a request to opt out, no cookies are set, and you do not need to do anything else. Your full rights are set out in our US State Privacy Notice.
  • If we cannot determine your location, we apply the stricter EU rule. Detection is approximate and can be wrong (VPNs, travel) — “Cookie preferences” in the footer always lets you set your own choice.

Nothing here identifies you by name unless you have contacted us or arrived from one of our email links. Our hosting provider's aggregate metrics are cookieless and always on.

Email link tracking

If you arrived from a link in one of our emails, we connect the visit to your contact record. This is described in full in our email tracking notice.

Managing your choice

To opt out, choose “Opt out” in the cookie banner or open “Cookie preferences” in the footer — this deletes the tracking cookies and stops further tracking on this device. You can also clear this site's data in your browser. For any request, email privacy@alekstra.ai. See also our privacy policy.
