IT Assets (ITAM)
IT Asset Management
IT Assets binds the full device estate to named owners using the customer's own management sources — Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, Samsung Knox and comparable systems — enriched with hardware-vendor, leasing-company and disposal-partner data, so cost, lifecycle and CO₂e follow every device from order to disposal.
Why it matters
- 25–30% of IT budgets are wasted on redundant tools and underused licences; visibility is the number-one cited blocker.
- 45% of organisations paid more than $1M in software audit costs within the past three years.
- Of audited organisations, Microsoft was the auditor in 50% of cases.
- 17% of data breaches involve lost or stolen devices — a top breach vector only 7% of security leaders flag as a primary concern.
This describes the service in general terms; fixed price, timeline, service levels and limitations of liability are confirmed at order. Delivery requires the customer's cooperation — providing the necessary data, access and authorisations on the agreed schedule. Personal data is processed in the EU by default.
How device cost forms
Hardware is not really a purchase, it is an amortisation. What you pay per month is set by the sticker price divided by how long the device stays in service — so the refresh cycle moves this number more than the negotiated unit price does. Devices sitting in a cupboard or never returned amortise exactly the same.

How the cost composes
€35,000per month
€420,000 per year
- Devices in use€30,80088 %
- Devices not in use€4,20012 %
What this shape tells you
- You are amortising devices nobody is using. This is normally a returns and offboarding process question, and it is only visible if assignment is tracked per person rather than per purchase.
- The point where fleets drift is leavers. If a device is not reclaimed at exit, it keeps amortising and quietly reappears as a new purchase.
If you would like us to look at this with you, you can send these figures to our team. We will see the numbers you entered and which areas the calculator highlighted — nothing else, and no contact details unless you give them to us separately.
Illustrative and local to your browser: the sliders send nothing, and your figures stay on this device unless you press the button above. Defaults are placeholders, not benchmarks; replace them with your own figures. This shows how your spend is structured, not what you would save. Actual outcomes are established inside an engagement from your own data.

The Alekstra audit is where most engagements start — a fixed-scope, fixed-fee review of the costs, contracts and risks in the areas you choose. Scope and price are agreed before we begin, and it carries no obligation to buy anything beyond it. If you'd rather talk first, we can walk you through what the service covers and where it tends to be worth starting.
