Telecom Expense Management

Telecom is Alekstra's deepest domain: services delivered across more than 35 countries, with data reporting and plan optimisation across more than 100 carriers — mobile, fixed, data circuits, and mobile IoT/M2M — operator-agnostic, on the Alekstra data stack.

What it covers

  • A subscription register: lines, carriers, subscription types, pricing plans and billing accounts in one view, linked to devices and users.
  • Carrier-invoice processing down to line and cost-component level per the carrier's own billing detail, with invoice reconciliation.
  • International use of carrier device data; the countries and carriers covered are confirmed at order.
  • At offboarding, forgotten subscriptions and SIM cards are identified and closed per the agreed model.
  • Cost reporting at organisation, billing-account and line level.

Scale

Telecom expense management delivered across more than 35 countries, with reporting and plan optimisation across more than 100 carriers.

This describes the service in general terms; fixed price, timeline, service levels and limitations of liability are confirmed at order. Delivery requires the customer's cooperation — providing the necessary data, access and authorisations on the agreed schedule. Personal data is processed in the EU by default.

How telecom spend forms

A telecom bill mixes a fixed subscription per line with usage that is priced separately and varies month to month, plus lines still billing for people who have gone. The three behave differently, and only one of them responds to renegotiating the tariff.

What this shape tells you

  • Some lines are billing for people or devices you have told us are gone. These persist because cancellation is a manual step nobody owns after an employee leaves.
  • Telecom invoices are among the few that are routinely wrong. Checking them requires line-level detail matched to a person, which is a different exercise from reviewing the total.

If you would like us to look at this with you, you can send these figures to our team. We will see the numbers you entered and which areas the calculator highlighted — nothing else, and no contact details unless you give them to us separately.

Illustrative and local to your browser: the sliders send nothing, and your figures stay on this device unless you press the button above. Defaults are placeholders, not benchmarks; replace them with your own figures. This shows how your spend is structured, not what you would save. Actual outcomes are established inside an engagement from your own data.

See it on your own numbers

The Alekstra audit is where most engagements start — a fixed-scope, fixed-fee review of the costs, contracts and risks in the areas you choose. Scope and price are agreed before we begin, and it carries no obligation to buy anything beyond it. If you'd rather talk first, we can walk you through what the service covers and where it tends to be worth starting.
